Sesame Street Presents Elmo's World Tour

June 05, 2014

Elmo and his crew are set to return to Australia this spring as Sesame Street Presents Elmo's World Tour kicks off at the Alexander Theatre in Clayton on Thursday 2 October.

In a performance bought to Australia by Life Like Touring and Sesame Workshop (non-profit educational organisation behind Sesame Street) the colourful gang will entertain toddlers and pre-schoolers throughout the country in typical Sesame style filled with educational music, humour and fun.

The story of Sesame Street Presents Elmo's World Tour, introduces the usual crew; Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, Grover, Zoe, Cookie Monster and Elmo, as they use letters of the alphabet to navigate an imaginary global journey that sees them visiting China, Zambia, France, India and Australia.  Little people in the audience will sing and dance along as they learn how to say hello all over the world.  Of course Cookie Monster gets up to his usual antics as he eats the letter "C"!

Other Sesame Street favourites make an appearance with The Count telling a mathematical travel tale, as well as Bert and Ernie in their attempt to find a place to stay for some travelling rubber-duckies.  A surprise visit by a gorgeous, gregarious, globe-trotter from the Gold Coast, Lady Baa Baa adds some fun to the stage proving its more fun to be mutton than lamb.

With a bunch of Sesame Street classic songs alongside some new catchy tunes, Sesame Street Presents Elmo's World Tour will entertain the whole family and delight Sesame Street fans of all ages.
