On Sunday 18th May, you and your pup can take a stand against animal cruelty simply by participating in the Million Paws Walk 2014 organised by the RSPCA.
The event will be held in multiple locations across Australia. Victorian locations include Albert Park, Mornington Peninsula, Whittlesea and more. For a full list of locations, click here.
What better way to show your support than by taking your best friend out with plenty of other dogs and owners for a day out. You can also purchase special RSPCA merchandise, such as bandanas for your dog to proudly wear, or a t-shirt for yourself.
In addition to this, you can create fundraising page for you and your pup or your "team" and help the cause even more. The registration fees only really cover the event, so additional funds will go towards the RSPCA's work with animals. Your fundraising page can include a description about why you are fundraising and any personal story behind it. Click on the image below for an example of my team's page!
Not only do you get to help a good cause but you, your family and your dog can enjoy some relaxing and fun times together. Check out their photo gallery here to see what fun you and you dog can have on the day!
Make sure you register for your relevant location if you decide to attend in order to receive all the news on the event and fundraising competitions. Melbourne has many walks, but there aren't many where you can take your furry friend with you and make a stand!
