Santa has entered the building of almost every shopping mall, the streets are sprinkled with fairy lights, pine trees are about to be decorated and Melbourne is ♫"beginning to look at lot like Christmas"♫.
With so many festive related activities to see and do this year, it is time to start embracing the Silly Season in Victoria's capital city, but if you are not quite yet sure where to start, here is a list of the best Christmas events in Melbourne 2014 to get you started:
Santa's Magical Kingdom
Now in its third year, Santa's Magical Kingdom has moved to a bigger and better location held at Caulfield Racecourse, introducing a wonderland of Christmas joy to Melbourne's South East.
Mrs Claus Storytime at Santa's Magical Kingdom
There are plenty of activities to get the whole family into the Christmas spirit at Santa's Magical Kingdom, with a magical walk-through wonderland, snow castle and activity land, Mrs Claus Storytime, a Santa meet-and-greet, the international Christmas themed Circus Spectacular, showground rides and carnival fun, Christmas craft with gingerbread decorating and Christmas sand art and roving Christmas entertainers.
Tickets range from $39.50 adult to $35 for children and concession card holders, and a family pass (2 adults, 2 children up to 12 yrs) costs $130.

Myer Christmas Window
Myer's decorated Christmas windows at the city's Bourke Street are seen as an iconic attraction of Melbourne's festive season, visited by millions of locals and tourists every year.
Myer Christmas Window displays have reached almost 6 decades of Melbourne tradition, introducing a special themed creation each year, with previous displays featuring story books, nursery rhymes, movies, and theatre, designed and bought to life by a combination of artists and craftspeople.
Each year, a new theme is unveiled in a grand opening event, which this year took place on 8 November introducing this years beautiful display based on children's book 'Santa and the Three Bears' by Maria Modugno.

Santaland at Myer on Level 6
After taking in the iconic Myer Christmas Window's, take a trip up to level 6 within Myer's Bourke Street Mall and pop into Santaland, a magical children's grotto complete with a visit to the big man himself; Santa (bookings recommended) and a range of activities including a free ride on the Santaland Express (children's railway) and photograph opportunities.

The Gingerbread Village by Epicure
Within the Melbourne Town Hall, on the corner of Little Collins and Swanston Street, you will find Epicure's magical miniature village made entirely out of gingerbread. S pot recognisable Melbourne landmarks made by Epicure's pastry chefs bringing a smile to the face of every child (and adult, too) this festive season. There are also baked gingerbread treats that you can purchase as delicious takeaway mementos of your visit, perfect for Christmas gifts or as treats for yourself. Entry into Gingerbread Village by Epicure is by gold coin donation, raising money for Make-A-Wish Australia.

Christmas Spectacular at Wonderland Funpark
Santa's Christmas Spectacular opens at Wonderland Funpark at Harbour Town Docklands on 15 November, with a range of festive activities to entertain the family. The Spectacular will bring the spirit of Christmas alive with 'The North Pole' featuring falling snow, a talking tree, a Santa's Mailbox to post those special lists plus Santa and his friends making appearances throughout the day.
The very special Santa's Circus Spectacular Show will also perform LIVE in the Wonderland Spiegeltent Theatre. The circus performance sees acrobatic elves getting themselves into all sorts of mischief in Santa's Toy Workshop with a whole bunch of tricks and crazy stunts and a beautiful snow fairy performing aerial tricks high above your heads.
Santa's Christmas Spectacular at Wonderland Fun Park
In addition to Christmas themed activities, all the fun of Wonderland Fun Park will still be available to enjoy including the Wacky Worm Roller Coaster, Crazy Wave, Grand Carousel, Dodgem Cars, Bungee Trampolines and the ALL NEW Water Rollers.
