After the success of last year's EMPIRE tour, Spiegelworld returns with its newest show ABSINTHE, opening in Melbourne on March 21, 2015. Inspired by the absinthe-drenched cabaret shows performed in late 19th century Europe, prepare to be dazzled by the amorous Spiegel crew as they are once more let loose on the Crown Rooftop.
ABSINTHE introduces a new group of mischievous yet talented performers to its 700-seat spiegeltent, aptly decorated with a vintage inspired interior, dimmed lighting and a well stocked licensed bar.
Hosted by the outrageous Gazillionaire, played by actor and former Cirque du Soleil clown Voki Kalfayan in collaboration with his assistant Penny Pibbetts, the highly acclaimed contemporary circus production is presented to an adult-only audience, complete with saucy tongue-in-cheek humour, burlesque attire, death defying feats and toe-tapping live music to entertain the crowds.

Heading to Australia from Las Vegas, ABSINTHE will see the return of previously seen acts from its US show, alongside a few new surprises for the Australian audience.
Paul Carr of The Huffington Post once said in his review of ABSINTHE "If I could only see one show my entire life," he said, "I'd want it to be that.", in which case this is a show that quite clearly cannot be missed when it reaches our shores.
ABSINTHE by Spiegelworld's national tour, presented by Nine Live, will open in Newcastle on February 17, 2015, and will travel to Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney with other dates to be announced.
