The estate of Glen Harrow is situated in Belgrave and runs alongside the famed Puffing Billy. In the late 19th century, horticulturalist Thomas Cole purchased the land and established the collection of exotic, floral species. The park is currently under lease to Trees Adventure, an exciting journey where you'll be leaping, swinging and climbing as you advance across sections of the picturesque forest.
Typically, you'll arrive twenty minutes prior to your start time, where you are fitted into safety gear and taught the basics of using the equipment attached to your harness. You are then free to spend the following two hours on any of the courses.
Trees Adventure boasts a total of 66 obstacles across 4 courses of varying lengths. These range from 'Green', a child-friendly path, beginner's 'Blue' and intermediate 'Red'. Once you have successfully completed 'Red', you can attempt 'Black', a strenuous challenge for those looking to test themselves.
The more difficult the course, the higher you'll travel above ground.
Obstacles you encounter along the way may include flying foxes, traversing widely spaced platforms requiring expert balance and climbing across nets that will test your strength and motivation.
Tree Adventures is open every day and bookings may be made online at treesadventure.com.au.
Whether it's a family outing with younger children, or a group of friends looking for more invigorating experiences than plain sightseeing, you should definitely check out Tree adventures at Glen Harrow Park.
