Australia's biggest vertical race returns to Melbourne on Sunday, 16 November 2014. Eureka Climb, presented by OsteoEze, challenges people of all ages to race to the top of Melbourne's tallest building, the Eureka Tower, raising much needed funds and awareness for two major charity partners; Whitelion and Interplast Australia and New Zealand.
The challenge invites individuals of all levels of fitness to run, climb, or walk the 88 floors of the Southern Hemisphere's tallest construction. It expected that over 2,500 will be running the challenge, either alone or in teams of 4 people.
To participate, there is a registration fee of $50 and thrill seekers that raise enough money to "run to the roof" (over $500 per individual or $2000 as team) will get roof top photos on level 88. The overall fastest male and female in the Elite category will win a return trip to the WFGT Towerrunning Challenge 2014, taking place on January 24, 2015 at Vienna's Danube Tower.
Travelodge Southbank are offering all participants 15% off room bookings for stays on 15 and 16 November 2014, for those that choose to stay in Melbourne for the Eureka Climb; book your accommodation here.
Race kit collection is from 6.15am and the Eureka Climb start times are staggered between 7am and 1pm. There is an entertainment precinct set up at the bottom of the Tower on Southbank to entertain family, friends and supporters including an interactive Kids Zone complete with colouring in, face painting and more to make for a fun day out for everyone to enjoy.
